Transmedia Storytelling: Smallville

Throughout, they take part in the origin story of the Justice League.

This was part of a transmedia experience produced for the TV show “Smallville” in a sponsored integrated marketing partnership with Toyota to support the launch of their Yaris in the United States.

Players where guided through a set of games and puzzles by a mysterious “game master” named, Ezra as he guided you through an interactive story that migrated from The Mothership (the “Smallville” TV series), to interstitial motion comics that were broadcast instead of :30 ads, to the internet, mobile devices, a print newspaper of the Daily Planet and even a USB drive.

Players participated in this experience as members of Oliver Queen's team of heroes in an effort to thwart Lex Luthor's efforts to create an army of supersoldiers.
